Hope is on the way!
Well, this seems to go along quite well with this theme I’ve been following around here lately. I’ve been talking about how important hope is in our lives.
I’m really excited because Dave Ramsey is holding a live broadcast this Thursday evening focusing on why the world is NOT coming to an end no matter what the evening news tries to tell us. This broadcast will be shown in over 4,000 locations nationwide.
You can click on the above image and find somewhere near you to watch this presentation. Dave wants this to be completely free to the public. He has given what he calls ‘great American businesses’ a chance to provide sponsorship.
I couldn’t resist so I went ahead and signed up my company as a sponsor. There is a lot of expense pulling something like this off. I find it a pleasure to offer a few dollars of my support.
I am hearing news that this will be broadcast on Fox Business Network as well so you may be able to catch it there if you have cable/satellite.

I can’t wait to see this tonight. Each of our kids have soccer practive tonight but I have set up the DVR to record everything on the Fox business channel from 6 to 10 pm so hopefully I’ll catch everything before / during / and after the event. I also think it so GREAT that you decided to help sponsor the event as well. I hope you post your thoughts on the event as well. I will come back and post again my after I see it.
Here’s looking to May 2nd as well !!!! Take care!!!

I hope Julie and you were able to The Town Hall for Hope. Keri and I were able to watch it and we both really enjoyed it. Dave is so up lifting. I wish our leaders in Washington were as level headed and honest as he is. It’s a shame there is no one one up on capital hill we can be proud of for making the tough decisions and saying the word ” NO “. Can you imagine a politican saying NO? It’s a hope that some day we can vote enough of the current group out of Washington that atleast our kids can he that word spoken in DC.

We watched it on tv, too. I agree, I enjoyed what he had to share about saying “NO”. As a parent, I need to hear that. Keeping all of my brood happy all the time is impossible. They might as well get used to hearing the word, “NO”!
I also enjoyed what he had to say about failure. Failure can be a very good thing. If everything always went our way and we never failed, James and I would be comfortable and “safe” but we wouldn’t be forced to toughen up, stick things out and wise up! Being stretched and having to work hard and take some punches is good for our faith and our character! Ughhhh!

Great comments Julie! I agree with you about kids needing to hear the word NO more as well. Keri and I are uisng it more and more this year and finding that it’s ok because the kids know why we are saying it more this year. They might not always like hearing it at the time but they seem to be understanding more in reflection. We are shareing some of our goals and situation with them and it’s really helping them understand. We are all working on the debt snowball as a family. We even had a our first garage sale last week.

Dave will be in my town this fall and hold a town hall recorded meeting in my church, just down the street. I hope he has a large crowd.

I really enjoyed the meeting as well!
One thing I was glad he talked about is the current state of Capitalism in America. Capitalism is great but when there isn’t any moral restraint you can find yourself in big trouble.

We attended the Town Hall for Hope meeting at our church–it was VERY well attended and there were quite a few there from the community that I didn’t recognize. I saw the first half which was very uplifting (had to step out into the foyer when Jude got too noisy! He’s getting to be quite a talker) It was awesome to be a part of something like that, that so many across the country were participating in. I hope his message of Hope sinks in.

Jude is a talker? I wonder where he got that from? LOL!
